Kybella
Kybella (deoxycholic acid) is a prescription medicine used in adults to permanently improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” In addition, small areas of fat can be treated such as bra fat, belly and muffin top, jowls, and upper knee.
It uses an active ingredient called deoxycholic acid to break down injected fat. Deoxycholic acid is an emulsifier that naturally exists in the human digestive system and breaks down the fat in the foods we eat to facilitate digestion and metabolism. When injected into the skin for aesthetic purposes, Kybella functions in the same way, breaking down unwanted fats and making it easier for the body to process.
Treatment can only be performed by specialists trained by Kybella. With each treatment, several small injections are given under the chin. The injection process takes about 15-20 minutes. The exact number of injections depends on the amount of fat under the chin and the desired profile.

What to expect
You will meet our Medical DIrector or Nurse Practitioner.The time spent in the spa is approximately 1 hour. Numbing will be applied prior to treatment for about 15 minutes. Injections take about 10-15 minutes deepening on the number of areas treated. Expect swelling immediately after treatment and for up to 7 days post injections. There will be an achy feeling where the deoxycholic acid is injected. Bruising is a possibility.
