Fibroblasting with a Plasma Pen

Plasma Pen's unique technology converts electricity into gaseous diatomic nitrogen (N2). This charged gas is administered to the skin of the area being treated, acting as an abrasive on a micro-scale to the epidermis layer of skin while equally heating and activating the deeper layers. The process by which a Plasma Pen works is called fibroblasting. It can treat upper and lower eyelids, crows feet, top and bottom lip, neck, arms, stomach, inner and outer thigh, hands breast, buttocks, knees, forearm, skin tags, and chest.

What to expect

The procedure may vary slightly depending on the location of treatment, but the basic procedure is usually as follows: Your nurse will begin the Plasma Pen treatment by numbing the target region using prescription-grade topical anesthetics for the length of the procedure You may have to wait about 30 minutes for the numbness cream to work. Treat the desired skin area with a plasma pen.

The pen creates a small arc of small electric current, leaving small scab-like spots on the skin. The nurse removes the numbing cream and, if possible, applies a cooling gel to minimize tingling and burning sensations. This procedure usually takes about 60 minutes to run.
